The study

I said to nini I’ll give him 40% credit for making the study. Now I want to give him more. We did everything on our own, the shelves, the tabletop, the setup. It looks easy but given that nini is such a perfectionist, it’s lots of sanding, painting, measuring and re-measuring




Originally this space was a dressing room, one can only be found in prewar apartment. We totally love it because it’s this kind of thing that’s unique and shows character. I wish that I could leave only a chair and a mirror here, as it was meant for, if I have another room for study. This is the only room in the apartment that has no natural light, but air can still flow in from the bathroom. The big mirror on the wall enhanced the depth of the space and bounced some natural light into the room. The space now is quite comfortable and intimate, especially after we set up the multimedia. I don't turn on the ceiling light unless I have to. To enhance the mood, I also use two IKEA espresso table lights, which are small and gentle. Sitting here with the music playing, you would then know what I mean.
